Canada is situated on the traditional territory of First Nation, Inuit and Métis peoples from coast to coast to coast.

Having the privilege of being a Canadian citizen, who was afforded the opportunity to spend much of life in various parts of Canada, specifically: Newfoundland (the traditional lands of the Inuit, the Innu, the Mi'kmaq and the Southern Inuit of NunatuKavut), New Brunswick (the traditional lands of the Mi’kmaq and the Wolastoqiyik), Alberta (the traditional lands of the Blackfoot, Cree, Chipewyan, Dene, Sarcee and Stoney), and British Columbia (the traditional lands of the Haida, Coast Salish, Kwakwaka'wakw, Gitxsan, Tsimshian, Nisga'a) - I recognize these peoples and their historical claim to the land.

Additionally, being that I currently reside in Tallahassee, Florida, I also recognize the Seminoles of Florida, the ‘Unconquered People.’ I recognize these peoples and their historical claim to the land.
